LSU Gymnastics: Dominating the National Championship Scene

LSU Gymnastics is loaded with elite talent and it starts with one of the best to ever compete for the Tigers, regardless of sport. Haleigh Bryant walked away from this season with five All-America honors including all four events and the All-Around. The Tigers had a total of seven All-Americans with five of the seven to earn the honor on beam and five on Floor. Kiya Johnson and Konnor McClain both added three All-American awards. Savannah Schoenherr added two All- American awards. Sierra Ballard, KJ Johnson, and Aleah Finnegan added individual All-American awards as well.

While these young ladies accomplished so much individually, they collectively accomplished something no other LSU Gymnastics team has ever done. Win a National Championship. LSU finished with a final score of 198.2250, while California had 197.8500, Utah was on their heels with 197.8000 and Florida finished with 197.4375. The Tigers held the high score in floor and beam and were second in both bars and vault. This makes the 52nd National Championship by an LSU team.
