Paul Skenes just finished up a whirlwind year at LSU that was capped off with a National Championship and being picked by the Pittsburgh Pirates with No.1 Pick in the MLB Draft. The contract is out of the way as he commanded a record setting signing bonus of $9.2 million.
Nicholas Caporoso of RumBunter.com has reported that Skenes will start his journey with the Pirates organization in the (FCL) Florida Complex League. Interestingly enough, Caporoso pointed out that pitching in the FCL will allow him to pitch in the Pirate City Facility and will allow them to closely monitor his progress.
