When September 1 — the first day college coaches could directly contact 2027 prospects — arrived, Bryli Seifert already had a good idea of where her heart belonged.
“I had been to LSU three times before September 1 and to 17 other camps, so I feel like I had experienced a lot of options,” Seifert said. “LSU checked every box my family and I were looking for in a softball program and school.”

For Seifert, the choice didn’t require a campus tour or a drawn-out recruiting process. She had seen enough, both in Baton Rouge and across the country, to know that LSU was the right fit. “It felt like home,” she said. “The coaches, the culture, the facilities, and the atmosphere was everything I wanted in a softball program. "Still, the anticipation of September 1 wasn’t lost on her. Like so many prospects across the country, she felt the nerves leading into that pivotal day. "Leading up to it, I did have some nerves just wondering who might reach out and what the conversations would be like,” Seifert recalled. “I am so thankful for all of the colleges that reached out. But every conversation kept making me realize where my heart was.”
When it came time to make her decision official, Seifert wanted it to be special. “My whole family put on our LSU shirts and I sat down and FaceTimed the coaching staff,” she said. “I told them, ‘I have something to tell you guys, I want to be a TIGER!’ They all clapped and gave high fives. It was such an awesome feeling!”

Seifert has also embraced a new challenge this year, moving up to 18U with her Top Gun team. The jump, she says, has accelerated her development “Moving up to 18U has definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me grow,” she explained. “The game is faster, the competition is stronger, and it forces me to raise my level every day. I’ve had to learn to make adjustments quicker, stay mentally tough, and trust my preparation. Playing alongside older, experienced teammates has also helped me mature as a player and as a leader.” Her competitive goals reflect her drive. Among them: winning a high school state title, another Triple Crown National, and a PGF National Championship — while continuing to build strength in the weight room.
Now, with her future in Baton Rouge set, Seifert is counting down the days until she can officially call LSU home. "AMAZING!” she said with a smile. “I’m extremely excited to head back down to Baton Rouge, spend time with the coaches, staff, players and my future teammates. I cannot wait to be on campus again as an official Tiger!” Seifert will be on campus next weekend when the Tigers face off against the Florida Gators in the "Real Death Valley"
